It is time to gear up for Stewardship, time for us to look deeper into our understanding of faith being at the center of our lives. To become who God calls us to be. Good. Works. As people of faith, we live this out through Receiving, Serving, Giving, and Worshiping. During September we will be looking at how God calls us to do Good Works.
Many understand Stewardship to be “the church asking for money.” And thus they feel that talking about money is too personal of an issue to be discussed in church. Stewardship is more than asking for money. Think of Stewardship more as an annual “health of your faith” check, which is in part what you commit to giving financially to the church. Stewardship is your annual maintenance. We are looking at all aspects of your faith journey. When all the gears line up, we do more than good works; we do great works!
Join us as we look deeper into our faith, we reflect on the God’s purpose to create us and seek where God is calling us to grow. Good. Works. begins September 3. Please be in prayer for Euless First United Methodist Church, for God did not save us because of our good works, but for our good works.
