We are committed to following Jesus a bit better today than yesterday, both in the community and the world. We believe in following God together with purpose. Won’t you to joins us in that endeavor? When we follow God we worship regularly and make time to read and to pray. Here are ways to live this out.
Worship
In public worship, we celebrate the greatness, goodness, and nearness of God. We listen and talk with God through music, prayer, quiet meditation, and the reading, preaching and hearing of the Word. It is through our attendance that we have the best chance to meet fellow-believers, get connected in smaller groups and form community. Euless First United Methodist Church is a place of worship for all persons and all ages!
Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated monthly, usually on the first Sunday of every month. Also known as the Lord’s Supper, or the Eucharist, communion is the commemoration of Jesus last supper with the 12 Disciples. In the United Methodist Church, your participation is completely voluntary and is open to all people who love Christ. If you do not wish to participate, just stay in your seat. If you are unable to come forward, tell the usher and communion will be brought to you. We have a gluten free bread available upon request.
Baptism
In the United Methodist Church, baptism is a sacrament of initiation into the community of Christ. We usually baptize persons during a Sunday morning worship service, following a conversation with one of our pastors. Official membership is not necessary. We baptize people of all ages, including infants, and accept the baptisms of all other Christian denominations.
