God’s Grand Plot, a one day retreat event, provides a view of the entire Bible as one story of God’s hand on the human journey. You’ll learn the Bible’s historical overview, its organization, and how God’s story affects the human heart. The class will meet Saturday, December 9, 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Swor Parlor and be facilitated by Mike Springer. There is no cost.

Being a mother isn’t easy. Sometimes it’s hard to experience a personal connection with God and community when you are caught up in the chaos of just “doing family”.
Independent and self-sufficient, author Betsy Singleton Snyder lived a full and busy life as a pastor, missionary, and wife to a husband who served in the U.S. House of Representatives. Having children later, she suddenly found herself overwhelmed is an understatement.
Stepping on Cheerios is a collection of funny, warm, and charming tales from the front lines of parenthood, for women who are juggling it all. Join Pastor Rachel, Monday’s at noon in the Swor Parlor, beginning September 25. Bring your lunch and kids if needed, and let’s have some fun! The book is $12.00.

In Before Amen, Max Lucado explores the very heart of Biblical prayer by offering distilled, hope-filled prayers that will help you turn your heart towards the One who longs to speak with you.
Thankfully, we aren’t the first followers of Jesus to struggle with prayer. The disciples did too. In response to their questions, Jesus gives them, and us, a simple, beautiful example to follow.

For more than 18 years, Rise Against Hunger has been creating a movement to end hunger. More than 180,000,000 meals have been packaged and distributed, along with other aid, to 65 countries, impacting millions of lives. The organization is driven by a mission to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, and by creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.
The Rise Against Hunger meal packaging program was created to give dedicated individuals the opportunity to participate in a hands-on international hunger relief program and to become educated, engaged advocates for the world’s poor and hungry.
Euless First’s next meal packing event will be the Sunday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. We have increased our meals to 15,000 this time around! Set up begins at 8:00 and volunteers are needed for that, too.
Mark your calendars and visit www.stophungernow.org, for more information. Register to help here.
