Each Sunday evening E1ement Students come to gether and share a meal. It’s at these meals that we are nourished, we participate in conversation, we pass items between each other, we reveal our passions, and we are drawn closer to one another through our shared experiences both good and bad. A table is a powerful tool that builds community and offers grace, much like the Table of Jesus Christ.
On the Table of Jesus, there is a plate of bread and a cup of juice. We refer to bread and the cup as “the elements,” and as Christians, we believe that somehow through these elements, Christ himself offers to us as an act of grace. Likewise, we are supposed to take the grace we receive at the table and offer it to the world through our words and actions. In essence, we become for the world the body and blood of Christ. Since we want to share Christ with the world in a real way, we want our students to understand that they are the “elements.” Hence, our name is E1EMENT Students. We spell it with an “E1″ because it’s a cool way to help people recognize that our Student Ministry is a ministry of Euless First United Methodist Church.
OUR VISION FOR STUDENT MINISTRY:
To help students discover who God is calling them to BE, LOVE, & SERVE.
